Camino Primitivo October 2009

Hello, im hoping to walk the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo to Santiago from next week for 2 weeks (flying from London). Ive previously walked the Camino Frances and cycled the Seville santiago route. Is it a good time of year to walk it?

could anyone give me information on the weather, accom, stuff to take and the safety for a single woman on this trip

take layers of clothing, and some tissues for restroom use, and a stout walking stick, and some extra cash for backup taxi/hostel use. It´s getting cold on the mountains... last night the highest peaks got their first snow-cover.
