Camino route diversion near Fromista - railway construction

Too many and too often!
The Camino Frances route has been diverted in the section between Boadilla and Fromista close to the canal. This is to allow for building work on a new AVE rail line.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
But the Skylark canal boat from just after Boadilla to Frómista isn't affected, at least not yet. Will doubtless be different when they start buiding the viaduct itself, at the moment it's just the pillars being built.

From what I heard from numerous Pilgrims (as well as my own personal experience when I reached the canal) it is not running more of the time then it is (does?)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Owning a hostel in Boadilla del Camino, me and my wife took a look yesterday at the construction site. First part of the camino going out of Boadilla still runs along the canal until about halfway to Frómista. Then a very well-marked diversion will take you to the famous quadruple locks just before the town of Frómista. It hardly causes any delay for pilgrims walking this part.

FYI, there's about a 5km detour between Boadilla and Fromista right now due to construction projects. Plan ahead, winter pilgrims. The walk from Castrojeriz changes from 25km to 30km with scant services anywhere.

Do you know if it will be still possible to get the boat Juan de Homar in order to reach Fromista by the channel ?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
is it EVER possible? Most of the time (and that includes myself as well) all I heard is that it was not operational

So... does that mean we are not getting to walk next to the canal for those last 5 miles because of that detour? :-(

It's not the last few km but pretty close.
