Anyone heard of this route? Or even better done it? Not sure if it's a new route or not. Looks rather fun though :) Would work very well with my planned Camino Madrid....

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I saw this written-up in the local newspaper, part of the Liebana Holy Year observance. One variation begins in Palencia, I believe, and follows the Canal de Castilla northward into the mountains. It's pretty up there, but services are still kinda far apart... just now I think it's more appropriate for bicycles.
I went to the Turismo in Palencia for more information, and they had no idea what I was talking about!
Sahagun is not in Palencia, and there's a nice two-lane country road north via Cea to Cistierna, where you join the Ruta Vadiniense and just follow that in reverse north to Liebana. Again, the part between Sahagun and Cistierna is pretty short on accomodation; you'd be road-walking in the open for three days or so.

Thanks Rebekah

Yes, that's how I was alerted...by FB

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
