Plans have changed from a May Camino to a late August Camino with a long-time friend and business partner who has never done a Camino. We plan on leaving on August 30 and being gone for about four weeks starting at or near Burgos.

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
We are behind you by a few weeks unless you go really slow. We are trying for the full French Way. Currently training daily 6-12 miles with pack and alternating footwear to build up calluses.

Good luck

Hi, Ill be in Irun around the 20th August and walking to Bilbao on the Northern route. A section of the Camino I missed on my first Camino in 2019. I'm then volunteering for 2 weeks at an Alberge in Canfranc, from there I will walk to join the Camino Frances, hopefully arriving in Santiago, early October. Looking forward to walking again. :) Happy preparations!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Be aware that August on the Spain's northern coast is prime tourist season. And it's not clear yet if the municipal albergues in the region will be open this year or not.
