Is it possible to bring my pilgrim credential from my first Camino in 2013 to the pilgrims office and request a certificate of distance from it? SJPdP to Santiago. I didn’t think to get it or that it was even a thing back then. 😊
I think so. The distance certificate costs 3€.

As a volontairy at the Pilgrims Office now I will check out for you
As far as I know in 2013 the CoD did. not exist by then. although I also walked in 2013 and cannot remember they offered it.

Now I proceeded some starting before COVID-19 and finished now. But that is different
Good question. I let You know
Will someone who's volunteered at Pilgrims Office please confirm. I'd hate to carry my first credential on my next Camino if I'm not able to get the Certificate of Distance.
Take your first credential with you when you have acomplished your next camino with a new credential and we make a certificate of distance for you and mention that you started at the initial day and startingpoint from your first credential I just checked it out this morning, working as a voluntário at the Pilgrims Office

Thank you so much, I will bring it with me in September when I walk the Portuguese from Porto. Thank you for volunteering at the Pilgrims Office. I'd love to be a volunteer there, maybe some day.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Speaking of distance certificates, can you get both a compostela and a distance certificates or must you choose one or the other?
You can get both. The compostela is complimentary and the distance cert is requested by the pilgrim for a modest fee.
