I'm actually going to walk the Norte from Bayonne, but thought that this might be a better forum for a question about accommodation in Bayonne.

It looks like both of these options take reservations but both are quite small, so I thought that I better choose one and reserve.

Thoughts on these two places?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
We stayed at Chez l'habitant Veronique in March 2022, and it was wonderful. Veronique was so kind and escorted us over to the Cathedral to get a stamp and give us a tour. The breakfast the next morning was superb! It was in the days right after Covid re-opening, and we were the only ones there at that time. It was a perfect start to our new journey on the Norte.

Highly recommended!

I stayed with Veronique! It was great.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

4 of us stayed with Véronique in 2017. We booked the
4 beds in one room but another pilgrim had arrived so the youngest of our group slept on a mattress on the floor.
A great stay, lovely breakfast.
Then off we went to walk the Baztan.
