Does anyone know of maps or guide book for the coastal route out of Lisbon?
Hi Kim. You are on the wrong forum ! There are also forumthreads about the caminho Portuges coastal and there on the 16th of july 2014 you will find a thread of @BC Rockies who gives an answer you ask for and will be happy with. The topic is called Coastal /litoral waymarking and BC Rockies answer is #41. It is the last topic on top.
Enjoy

Oh and now I read your question again and see that you talk about leaving from Lisbon. Sorry

That is a different matter.

I read about it in a thread I thought of Laurie Reynolds aka Peregrina2000 but as far as I remember there is not much research done about the coastal part from Lisbon (Sintra) to the north .I only remember reading somebody has done it. So maybe you take some hours to read back the topics on the forum you are now on and if you are lucky Laurie or somebody else replies.
The common coastal route we talk about here is starting from Porto further north.
So sorry again.

The same applies whereever you walk from.
Have your maps and follow them.
I met a Portugues man in Redondela (who let their home for pilgrims - and yes, you can book beforehand) who walked the very coastal route from Lisbon. It is hard work and requires detailed maps but it is doable.
So Bom Caminho and let us know how you are doing :)
