Frances/Finestere 2023, 2024 ?
A promotion started here right now. A step-counting sweater from Wolkswagen records how far you walk, and if you walk 613 km (which is the range of the latest model) before 16th June, you can win the car. I have no idea if they do the same campaign in other countries. Use translator "Norway/Norwegian" if you want to read. Absolutely crazy, imagine walking an entire Camino with advertising on the chest 😂

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I've seen much worse shirts. Nothing stopping you from wearing it inside out or a t-shirt over it - although that could get hot depending on weather.

Easy entry for someone on Camino though!

Most of us are walking with advertising whether we admit it or not. Our shoes, packs, and clothing have logos and company names on them. Some are small and blend in with the item, others in a contrasting colour to stand out. We paid for that advertising. At least with this shirt you have the possibility of getting something in return. I'd like my shoe company to offer me a free pair for 600km!

The ultimate word in your blog being Maybe!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Some people refuse to wear clothing, etc. with logos, or cover or cut the advertising out. Similar in some ways, is wearing clothes, using tents when camping, etc. that are earth-tones that will blend into the environment rather than shout their presence in the natural world.

Some do. I don't tend to buy things with large logos or brand names across them, but I am not going out of my way to cut the logos off my shoes. That would damage them. Some wear brightly coloured clothing while hiking so that they don't blend in to environment and can be easily seen. Most animals are red/green colour blind, so while they can see blue they cannot see red.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Well, mileage can vary.

While some do try to blend in, blending in isn't recommended when walking on roads in the dawn or twilight, or camping where black bears are present, or being in the woods during hunting season.

You *want* the car to see you. You *want* the average black bear to know you're coming, so they can leave. You * want* the hunter to know you're human.

For me, logos are what they are. If I didn't want to wear advertising, I'd never wear a racing event shirt, as all of those prominently feature the major sponsors.

If I don't want to wear a particular logo, I won't buy the item. Why be dishonest about where your clothes came from?

As for the promo, I suppose it could double as a safety device, if it reports your position. I'm just not going to be walking that far during the time period. ;)

That’s only thirteen kilometers a day. Almost all pilgrims can do that! I typically do twenty to thirty, but on day I did 66. So there must be some fine print, maybe the first twenty people to claim it?

(If you can’t do thirteen kilometers in a day, there will be a lot of days you don’t make it to the next village!)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
:::chuckle:::There's a huge difference between:
working full time in an area of the US that is only car accessible ( and is 7 crime filled miles from my apartment) and traveling by train on weekends to work on the family farm;

and going on Camino.

Since I'm not going back on Camino until 2025 (God willing), I'm just not going to be walking that far during the promotional time period.

😉

OTOH, for me, it's a cute shirt. I'm glad the OP posted.

Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...

I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
Or do you prefer Cromwell's attitude? Put your trust in God and keep your powder dry. I am starting to get tired of the attitude that it isn't necessary to take reasonable care and thought...
