Camino de Santiago March 2024
Hi Everyone! We are planning to finish in Santiago tomorrow. How busy is the Pilgrim’s office? Any suggestions to what time we should try to get our Compostelas? First mass and then the office?
Thanks Buen Camino

No idea how busy the Oficina will be but when you preregister with the QR code all will go smoothly.

Be aware that tomorrow there will not be a traditional Pilgrim's Mass because of Sabado Santo.
There wil be the following though.

30 de marzo: Sábado Santo

12:00 h. Sermón de la Soledad y Viacrucis

22:00 h. Solemne Vigilia Pascual. Preside Sr. Arzobispo

Hi everyone! Just feedback. Got to Santiago at about 15:00 today.
After some photos at the cathedral- went to the pilgrim’s office. I registered already in January and had the qr code ready. Took less then 5min to get my compostela. Took longer to pay for the distance certificate ( que was long) and to walk back in the rain to the cathedral, than getting helped!

Thanks again for all the help on this forum. It made our camino so much easier!!

For everyone starting or still busy- enjoy! It goes way too quick! The most special walk in my life!! All the aches are forgotten when you see the cathedral.

Buen Camino

Already more than 2,000 Compostelas issued today with more than an hour of opening time at the pilgrim office to go. A very busy day. I'm not a fan of the new system for registering and issuing Compostelas but it does seem to be very efficient.
