counting the days!

Shortly after my slightly early retirement last year my daughter, Linda, asked me what I would like for my 60th birthday. I had been aware of the Camino for a long time and during the last couple of years it seemed to be cropping up in my life more frequently. So I decided to seize the chance to do something special to mark my 60th. I think perhaps this was not quite the sort of thing she had in mind! but however, all credit to her she quickly said "OK, I'll go with you" and so the plan has taken shape and my very good friend Grainne is also coming . The 3 of us are starting to walk from Sarria on 23rd May,flying from Ireland the previous day. The information on this forum has been absolutely brilliant for planning our walk. Thanks to you all for rour help and guidance.

Hi Trudy,

Welcome to the forum from another Irish pilgrim. You will have the time of your life and will want to return again and again.

I will start from St. Jean on May 8th May, travelling to Biarritz on the 7th. will return via Bilbao on 28th May, having walked as far as I can in that time.
