Crowded Camino from October 26th from Pamplona?

We will walk Pamplona to Burgos starting October 26th.
Usually I booked accomodations in private albergues during summer and busy season walks.
This will be my first early winter walk.
How crowded will it be? Do I have to book ahead
or trust there will be a lot of available accomodations in the public ones?

I doubt that it will be busy, but many places will be closed. You may want to call ahead to see what is open rather than specifically to reserve.

Hi, I walked about that same time in 2014. Started in SJdP and at the alberque in Roncesvalles, they had
a paper listing which alberques were opened. Ask for that resource in Pamplona. As falcon269 said, the
issue won't be crowding but rather locating the open places. Buen Camino!
