Planning on cycling the Portuguese route in winter
Hello fellow pilgrims
Am looking for advice
I have very limited holidays this year and am thinking about cycling the portuguese route. I would have about 16 days excluding flight days which is plenty.
My question is - has anyone else done this and do you have any hints / tips?
I assume that over the Christmas and New Year period hostels may be shut so I guess I should bring my tent? I have a super warm sleeping bag
Anyone who's walked or cycled this in winter: just how cold does it get?
Anyone who's cycled this : is there a better direction as far as winds / hills are concerned? I am happy to start from Lisbon or Santiago.
Anyone who's done this route in winter: will i find many / any hostels open?
Thanks for any advice on these questions
