Thanks K-man and Geo for the previous advice... We arrive in Pamplona at ll am. and plan to rest in a modest hotel the first night. Should we try to get to Puenta La Riena or hang out in Pamplona (There doesn't seem to be a hotel in Cizor Minor-we will start the refugio thing the next day)?
Even with a 32kg sleeping bag we have kept the weight to about 7kg without water. On the sleeping bag question choosing between a summerweight mummy (light but claustrophobic) rated to15 celsius, one that is heavier but roomy good to 5 degrees C and last a cozy fleece bag with no temp rating. As sleep is imortant we'll go with the roomy warm ones. We may regret that extra weight somewhere on the camino.
Also decided on a cheap poncho for the rain. We also packed lightweight fleece and windbreakers. Is this overkill for September? Thanks again! Chris (IndigoE)
