Documentary DVD on Camino Frances

Hi there, Can anyone tell me if there is a Documentary DVD available and if so where I can get it please? Many thanks

Hello Mary,
There are dozens of DVDs on the camino – not only the Camino Frances. A quick search on amazon.com will offer a variety of DVD's.
Buying one is not that straight forward! Most are only available in Spanish. Others have English sub-titles. Some DVDs can only be played in different Zones – or on different systems. I think the US system is NSCT and the European is PAL and then the Zones run from 0, 1, 2, 3 etc etc. Some new DVDs are recorded on DVD+ and others on DVD- so will play on some players but not on others. You can buy DVD players that are zone free, code free, multi system players but these might only play on "multi system" televisions. Complicated huh?

Hi Mary, Gunnar W, a member of this forum made a series of short documentaries on the Camino Frances and they are available to watch or download on Vimeo. They are excellent and give a great idea of what you will see on the Camino.

As mentioned above ,there are many personal accounts on you tube that are interesting to see others journeys, The Camino Documentary by Lydia B. Smith is now on pre order,and it is a great film as well as Scott Herriot fun documentary that can be purchased or downloaded called Wayfaring
