Hello I've noticed as less people can walk on the Camino we are having to walk wherever we can. Ramblings a programme on Radio 4 this a.m had Dom Joly as a guest. Apparently he is a comedian as well as travel writer. He was talking about a walk near Cheltenham to a Roman ruin. He also talked about struggles with mental health. He described an interesting 27 day walk across the spine of Lebanon. He has written a book about it. Thought this may be of general interest.

He was an interesting presence on one of the BBC Pilgrimage documentaries too.

I was very surprised to see the name Dom Joly on this Forum. I have fond memories of Dom's Trigger Happy comedy dating back about 20 years. I migrated to Canada 17 years and my only memory/knowledge of him is of comedy and therefore I am grateful for your post that I find interesting.

The post-covid world may never allow this again.

But if you see the shell holes in the building as he goes along, nothing appears to stop travel or travellers for too long.
