Can anyone tell me whether the casa rural Casa Curina remains operational and, if so, your opinion of it? Brierley shows it in Dumbria, but Gronze does not. I can find little about it online. Same questions for the pension O Arxentino (which is listed in Gronze). Finally, does the Xunta albuergue in Dumbria offer any bedding other than blankets? Many thanks!

Don't miss the splendid albergue at Dumbria! It is located on the eastern side of the village next to the local sport hall. If when you arrive the large glass door appears closed just push it, enter and choose a bunk. The helpful hospitalero usually arrives about 17:00 to stamp your Crendencial, take the fee and distribute paper sheets. There are great showers plus toasty sub-floor heat in winter.

The Dumbria Xunta albergue is awesome - stainless steel well built bunks arranged in several separate rooms with doors, lots of room, and balconies with glass doors. Lots of electrical outlets. Down the hall, mens/womens baths with separate rooms for all toilets and showers too. Dedicated laundry room with sinks, and lines outside (many of them). It's a bit out of town, so you do have to walk in to get some food, unless you brought with you and can use in the kitchen provided. It felt very clean, and most of it was concrete/stainless, tile....which is easily kept clean and bug free. here are also sitting areas separate fro the bedrooms, with lots of natural light. It's a win for sure!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Thank you! Did you happen to notice Casa Curina or O Arxentino as you passed through Dumbria?
Just stayed at Meson O Argentino a couple of weeks ago. Rooms clean and nice and the lady running it cooked us a delicious dinner in front of the fireplace as it was cold and wet outside.

Many, various, and continuing.
Here is another vote for the municipal in Dumbria. It's a multi-million donativo to the pilgrims and the town by the man who founded the Indetex fashion retail empire (Zara, Stradavarius, Ponte Roma) who was born here. There are blankets on each bed.
Pilgrims also have use of the sports facilities next door, and bar built thereon, as well as the library and the internet terminals inside said library! Very friendly staff, clean facility.

Sorry Sorry I think age is taking my brain away. The place we stayed at 2 weeks ago is Casa Meson O Argentino not Casa Curina. Its just past the main part of town 1 block off the Camino. It has a restaurant bar and a grocery store. Nice clean rooms a a good meal.

Hello, first post - so mods, please move if this isn't an appropriate location for my post. I'm walking to Muxia / Finisterre in September with my husband who is recovering from long covid...
