Hi all, just a quickie.
With another camino under my belt (albeit a mini one) I'm now stuck in the airport from now (10.40pm) until 6am when my flight leaves.
If you are in the same situation I've decided to hold a small but friendly gathering near the europcar/enterprise desk. I have half a packet of crisps and approx 100ml of vino tinto left so don't worry about bringing food or drinks
See you soon!
Hugs

Yes, I feel your pain! Missed one overseas flight this year due to mechanical plane difficulty and they cancelled our flight in Frankfurt for the return trip...wish I'd had some crisps then but maybe a bit more than 100 ml of vino tinto!

Have a good night! Veteran of many overnight airport stays tho not yet SCQ. Sadly not able to join you! Hope you can replenish the crisps and vino somewhere.

School boy error there Andy, when they call last orders always get a double round it will see you through until nap time 😉 and how civilised is it to have a smoking area in the airport 👍 thanks for sharing your journey again it gives great help to us “overs” (over 50, overweight, over indulger) now where did I put that guide book time to start planning my meseta section…buen camino mi amigo

Hope you had a good turn out for your soiree and kept the dance music under 80 decibels

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Yes - @andywild which airport ?
& how did your night go ? Any problems camping out at airport overnight ?
It wasn't too bad. Several people with the same plan but there was adequate bench space for people to set themselves up. It appeared that everyone apart from me managed to get some sleep.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Tks Andy.
Santiago or Madrid airport?
Oh, sorry, it was Santiago. There was a cafe open until 11pm ish and then a couple of flight arrivals at about midnight.. after that the airport was very quiet, lights were dimmed and everyone picked a bench and tried to have a snooze. There are also several vending machines offering drinks and chocolatey snacks which made the whole experience slightly more civilised.
