El Camino Ingles Just walked

Hi there We have just completed the C Ingles walk June 13 to June 17 in 5 days although we had allowed for 6 days. The walk is mainly in forest or on minor roads and is very pretty. The track is extremely well marked/arrowed and almost impossible to get lost. ..one place just before Bruma we searched for a marker and ...painted high up on a tree was a yellow arrow. Mind you there were 2 of us so lots of eyes!! We almost missed a marker which was behind a parked car...but you can get that anywhere. There were only 4 other walkers on the track walking at the same stages. At Betzanzos the information bureau person knew of all the perrigrinos walking that day !! quite funny really...WEATHER it drizzled on day 1 & day 2 (briefly) and most of day 5 into Santiago. The CSJ guide was terrific required for all the other info on accomodation and food. We chose from accomodation mentioned in the guide which is time saving at the end of the day. It was tough uphills on 2 of the days. The day between Pontedueme and Betanzos had 3 uphill tasks but hey this is a camino!! Then between Betanzos and Bruma was tough uphill but we were alerted by the guide and so it is just a long day. Bar Julia was open so we were lucky. We didnt book any accomodation. Bruma Alburgue was brilliant ...had delivered a menu del dia to 6 of us - &included tablecloths!! 9 euro
OF NOTE -I found out on the first day that my right boot leaked!! did a bit of super glue fixing - & change of socks -these boots have already done 1000 km on other caminos so maybe I should have tested that! And now I cant bear to throw them out.

Congratulations. Glad you found Casa Julia open. Boots, sad. Terry had to have new ones for the CI this year and sadly sent his old ones off with the recycling.

Well done and many congratulations on your Camino.

We are off in 2 weeks time, and really looking forward to it, after all the months of
planning.

Can't wait to see the countryside and hopefully meet some other pilgrims on the way.
