I will be doing my final stage of my Camino frances in Spain from Ponferrada, either end sep/early oct. Will it be cold at this time? Could there even be snow?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

More than likely no snow from Ponferrada, except a chance at O’ Cebreiro.
Weather gets cooler early October. However there have been heatwaves in early Oct. as well. This is all to say, layer your clothing and be prepared for anything that comes your way. Recommend light sleeping bag.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

We were there last year early to mid October and it was a little chilly in the mornings but no snow. In the afternoon it warmed up some. I did wear layers and had a light fleece. Buen Camino!! We are walking the end of September/early October from Porto this year.

Thank you... Should be okay then.
