You arrive in Porto and have a day or two to spend. Let me suggest a WONDERFUL restaurant/bar across from the “Harry Potter” bookstore, the Lello Bookshop. This place is named “Clerigos Cervejaria” and is also near that giant Torre do Cleriigos.”

The staff is outstanding in their friendliness. They like pilgrims! Clayton makes a killer Caiperinha with special ingredients from Brazil. The lemon is mouth watering.

Manager Rachel, is very friendly and knowledgeable.

The facilities are clean, restful, and spacious, a wonderful place for a solo pilgrim (or more, I imagine) who just needs a place to relax and prepare for a long walk.

Highly recommended.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Thank you! Recommendations Alway welcome. Looked at reviews on TripAdvosor and they concur!

Okay, you need to try the local specialties, though! Love Brazilian food, but I’d rather go for a bifana or a francesinha when in Porto!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

I think they serve the Francesinha at this restaurant also but, since this the one also known as the “calorie bomb,” I went for a small, cold cerveza instead.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Hopefully they are still a happening. In 2015 my family and I joined "Porto Walkers" for an afternoon walk around that beautiful city before beginning our Camino the next day. Delightful and informative. And plan to spend a little while gazing at the blue tiles in the downtown train station. Bom Caminho.
