Filming on the Camino

Hello!

I'm walking my first Camino this October with my 70 year old mom, and I'm hoping to film a couple days of our journey to include in an ongoing professional documentary project that I've been working on for two years. I will have a small camera with me but also hope to work with a Cinematographer to join us for 2 days in Santiago and on to Finisterre.

Do any of you have experience shooting on the Camino? I'd love to talk details about transporting camera/ gear logistics, any necessary legal clearance, etc. This seems like such a generous community.

I filmed every day of my walk this past spring. Just a min. or a bit less, multiple times a day, using my iphone. Then spliced it all together each night using imovie. Had my gimbal too, but only used it in churches. It wasn't very heavy.
Not sure if this will help you, but it made it easy to record each day without bringing equipment.
