Camino Frances June 2013
G'day fellow pilgrims,

Finally, after a year and a half of thinking and deciding about the options it is locked in.
I am flying in from Brisbane to Paris and I am starting my Camino from SJPdP on the 7th of June. I am planning to get into SJPdP day before, to get orientated.

Is there a way to get to SJPdP from Paris not in the evening, but in the early afternoon?

Thank you for the helpful posts that I came across on this forum.

See you along The Way.

Andy

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi Andy, we are having coffee and Camino chat tomorrow from 9am at Bannertons Bakery at Ashgrove, we will have people who have walked and people who have not. It's very informal (coffee, sunshine, chatting) you are more than welcome to come :)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Thanks Zammy. Will check it out.

Thanks Sharni. Unfortunatelly I cannot make it tomorrow, but let me know if you meet again. Is this a regular catch up or just one of?

hi Andy, hope you have a great Camino, link to SNCF train timetable follows, just enter your start point and finish point ( Biarritz ) and then repeat process for Biarritz - St Jean Pied de Port.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Alternatively, you can take the TGV train to Bayonne, and then there is a small train to SJPdP . It goes from Montparnasse in Paris and takes about 5 hours.
Buen camino :)

The train station at Biarritz is just south of the airport, and trains arrive there from Paris after passing through Bayonne, so you probably don't want to go to the Biarritz train station to make a connection to SJPdP. You will just have to make a u-turn and go back to Bayonne.

I'll be starting my first walk in June as well.

See you on the Camino!
