Finisterre/Muxia itinerary

I’ll be ending my official Camino on October 2. Would like to spend a few days in Finisterre and Muxia. Probably one night in Finisterre and 2 nights in Muxia. Would love recs on itinerary and places to stay. Will bus there and back to Santiago de Compostela. Gracias

I was there a couple of months ago.
I'm not sure there is much to keep you occupied for a 'few days' though.

Finisterre has nice walks along the beach and up to the lighthouse.
Lots of nice places to eat.
You could maybe spend a day there.

Muxia has the walk out to the Chapel on the rocks. and a few places to eat.
I'd struggle to occupy myself for a full day there.
It's really just a large village.

Why not walk between the two ? It's a nice walk.
I'm normally a 20 km a day kind of guy, but I managed it in one day OK.

Others of course may come up with hidden gems that could occupy your time in either place

I guess I'm more of a countryside person that a sightseeing in town person

Loads of places to stay. Just look on Gronze.
Depends what type of accommodation you are after and budget?

In Muxia I had a small apartment that looked out over the harbour!

Agree with walking between the two. Muxia is very, very small and seems to rely on coach trips so can go from quiet to busy in a short period of time. You could break the walk at Lires where there is plenty of accomodation. LiresCa Hotel has a nice veranda that looks out over the valley and does a great breakfast

I love Muxia and would spend a week there doing nothing but gazing at the sea, watching waves at the point, watching people, and eating seafood if I could. It is a less touristy, less party vibe. I always stay at Belle Muxia.

Finesterre was fine. More expensive though. More beaches close if that is your thing. Less restful for me. We stayed at Hotel SempreFistere. Near the bus stop and the main downtown without being too high on the hill. Run by a nice couple. Checkin not until 4 pm.

yes to Bella Muxia. Walking to both after Santiago seems a good end for me.

Stayed two days in Muxia as well as Finisterre. Found Muxia's coast to be more beautful in my view than Finisterre. Muxia is definitely a village vs Finisterre a town. Both are nice although, I found the restaurants in Muxia nicer. As others have said, not a lot to do in Muxia, but a great place to decompress after walking.

Most travel to Finistere. Both have good things. I personally prefer Muxia. It is a very mellow and lovely town. There are some good places to eat, walk and relax. Finistere welcomes far more tourists and pilgrims. It is a personal choice but Muxia is for me.
