Wow, that is so exciting! I wish you a very fun, happy, enlightening and safe journey.

Can I ask how you prepared for this trek? Have you been walking kilometres in the last few months to prepare physically?

I too am from Toronto. My trek is still a few years away but I am already so excited to begin this journey of preparation.

If you have a bit of time in Barcelona, you might check out the monastery of Montserrat . . . amazing place and the destination for a fair number of smaller pilgrimages. Some people even start there for Santiago, joining the Camino Frances at Puenta la Reina or Pamplona.
