Hi all. Just reached Bilbao after starting from Irun. Would say 10-15 pilgrims that have formed a ‘loose group’. Varied nationalities, USA, Czech Republic, UK, Italy, France Germany and Spain. No problems with a accommodation, food etc. Though sure many places closed but enough open.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

How are prices in albergues right now?

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Pretty much like any other year I think. 15-20 euro
That's quite a bit more than I paid for albergues on the Norte in 2018. The most that I paid for an albergue bed was 12€. Lots of places were between 5€ and 10€.

The municipal and association Albergues are mostly closed in Basque country this year that takes out the lower priced end of pilgrim accommodation.
