Flight booked for my second camino. It's been 67 days since my last camino .... addict for sure

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
OK not 67. more like 107. But still.
I just booked my flight to begin my second camino. I'm back! on 4/3/24!!! Happy Days!

Oh Dear, another one hooked after only trying it once!
It's a powerful addiction that claims so many of us.

As the Book Title suggests............"God's Cocaine' :):)

Great News. Buen Camino.

The addiction of the Camino is such that last night I found myself questioning whether I needed to celebrate my 60th birthday with extended family and friends as planned.
Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and family, but such celebrations are not really my thing. Ours normally take the forms of dinners. Which means that really you only get to enjoy the company of those immediately around you and barely see everybody else.

What I realised was is that the cost would probably pay for a short (two week) Camino.....

I've had two Birthdays on Camino.
I have to confess I enjoyed them more ;)

I chose to spend my 65th on Camino. Being an introvert I didn't tell anyone on the day ☺️ It still feels nice inside me. I spent that night in an albergue with a communal supper so it felt like a birthday party with no social pressure 😅

On one of mine, I invited a lovely couple I had recently met to lunch, as my treat.
It just felt right at the time to share my day with some nice people.
We had a really nice lunch :)

I'd love to but my son is flying to England to see his girlfriend immediately after my birthday. ( He's delaying the trip so as to be with me).
He's 18. He lives with me.
The rest are all in-laws

On one hand he could come on camino with me, on the other see his girlfriend - not much of a choice really is it 😂.
Maybe when I turn 80...!
