Time of past OR future Camino

After much research through this forum and still researching and learning I would like to say I have booked our flight from Sydney to Paris and return yesterday, my husband Alan and i are looking forward to walking the Camino de Santiago I am getting very excited about the whole thing we leave Australia in late May we have started to put a few things together and weighing each items I must say after reading some comments I have minus a few socks and undies :) we have started to do some training we hope to camp along the way Alan is getting organise with the tent etc.. all as light weight as possible. Sorry I am rambling on all I wanted to say our passage are paid and we are ready to walk the Camino come what may next year. i am a little worried about the heat but I am sure I will survive with care and common sense  I hope to write about our adventures as we go along. Thank you for taking the time to read about our up coming experience :D :D ..

I am not sure exactly what date we will start our walk, because of our long flight from Australia I would like a couple of days of good rest then start our walk as fresh as a daisy :D :D :D hopefully we'll meet on the way.

Thank you Lise T your note made me less unease about the heat this is my only fear hubby keeps reassuring me i'll be ok I must keep a positive attitude towards summer this year I will try to live without my air-conditioner although we live near the ocean and our climate is not as harsh as inland. We hitch hike and backpack around Europe for 3 months 4 years ago all Alan did was wash his clothes and put them back on wet he was quite ok with that and they would dry on him while we walk  I couldn't bear the thought of it.
Xmas this year is not in my plan I am too excited with our upcoming walk and preparation and I really want to stay focus and keep away from all the carb and yummy treats I see in the supermarket it is not easy :( I am trying to get as fit as possible before we take off.
Have a good day :D :D

Hola Frankieg
We are leaving from Sydney mid April 2013 ,we are booked and packed !!! I highly recommend going to The Spanish Club in Liverpool Street , they have monthly camino meetings , one on a Wednesday night and one on a Saturday lunch , lots to be learnt and a lovely meal shared with other like minded pilgrams.

Thank you Tess and Lisa
The saturday lunch sound like a good idea I am getting all my items in the spare room ready to pack I buy most of them via ebay because where we live on the coast of NSW the prices can be ridiculous at least we will have most of our equipment ready by May Alan researched into a tent for us the one we took to Europe was a little cramp for both of us so he is weighing everything and comparing prices it is exciting time all the prep! This forum has been a wealth of informations and ideas specially the travelling from Australia to SJPP what is available. We'll keep in touch and one never knows we could meet on the camino to share a beer. :D :D :D
Have a safe and injury free Camino

Hello Tess42 and Frankieg. I too am traveling from Australia, in September 13.
I went to the Spanish Club gathering last Saturday. Lovely people. Lots of stories shared. Lots of good advice. Try and get there if you can. They meet informally at 12 on first Saturday of even months and on a Wednesday evening of odd months. (can't remember which one) Check out Confraternity website. Lots of info there.
Enjoy the planning. Buen Camino. :)

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Hi AmmieM Thank you for the information I will talk to hubby about it.
Have a good day :D
