So the plan is:

1. Wake up in Vilanova de Arousa
2. Take the earliest possible boat (pre-booked ticket) to Pontecesures (~ 8am)
3. Land in Pontecesures (~ 10am?)
4. Find some food, including lunch to take away (??????)
5. Walk to Herbon Convento.
6. Wait diligently for the Convento to open at 16:00.
7. If the Convento does not have room for me, walk on to Padron and find accommodation there

The question is with number 4. Does anyone have any recommendations for food in Pontecesures? Or should I just visit the mercado at Praza de Abastos in Pontecesures?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
That's not as fun! I love the research and planning process. 😂

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
@rainswift a quick scan at Pontecesures in Apple Maps indicates that there is an Eroski supermercado, several cafes and at least one other food emporium within a couple of hundred metres of the centre.

I know what you mean about the research and planning process. It seems to me that what you need will be there, so you could just wing it as @Flog suggests.

Bom Caminho!

Thanks! I had a google maps browse of it and was hoping there'd be a recommendation for a particular place from a forum member. Probably everybody goes on to Padron for the wider variety, though.
