French walker - Oliver or Olivier?

April 4th from SJPDP - May 5, 2017 - Complete!
I walked the Camino from Apr 3 - May 5 of 2017, and met a French person on the trail named Oliver or Olivier or something. He wasn't the typical pilgrim in that he had been walking the camino, back and forth, for years. He got kicked out of two different albergues/donativos when I was there, once for being slightly intoxicated, and another for making fun of the owner for some reason. Not sure why, but he's been on my mind last few days. I recently read a book called "A Million Steps" about the camino, and there's a photo of a french person named Olivier in the book that looks eerily similar to the person I met. Anyone run into this individual? Curious what happened to him.

Interesting, Duane! My sister and I walked from June - July 2017 and met an “Oliver” from Belgium with a very similar story. He showed up around Sarria and then seemed to be every where that we were, for several days. It was a bit too coincidental for our liking, so we were sure to plan accordingly for the remainder of our camino. I’d love to see the photograph to confirm.

What did he look like. We met a man in September of 2017 and he had a similar story. We bumped into him many times as well. He was misterious and wouldn’t give much info about himself???

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Not entirely sure this is the same person, since he looks younger in this photo (which makes sense, since the book is about a journey that took place a few years ago). When I met him he was missing a few teeth too. But it does look quite similar to the person I met, and the description (Oliver from France) is the same.
