Time of past OR future Camino
Planning to walk the Camino this year (2017) around September
I am planing to go on September/2017 to Caminos. Any one around here has the same plans? Maybe can give me some tips about planes ticket?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
From Boston? Maybe check out flights to Dublin, then maybe from there fly down to Biarritz/Bayonne and catch the train to St Jean.

SJPdP is connected to Bayonne by SNCF train.

Bayonne is connected to the rest of France by SNCF rail.

Biarritz BIQ is the closest airport to SJPdP. There are flights to Biarritz from several major cities in Europe (including Dublin and Madrid).

SJPdP is connected to Pamplona by CONDA (ALSA) bus

Pamplona is connected to the rest of Spain by Renfe train and several bus companies.

Pamplona has an airport PNA with connections to Madrid.

San Sebastian Airport EAS is the closest airport to SJPdP in Spain. Its located about 5 km from the terminus of the SNCF trains in Hendaye. There are flights from Madrid to EAS

Santiago is connected to Madrid by Renfe train.

Santiago has an Airport SCQ with flights to several major cities in Europe.

There are discount airlines in Europe ... Ryanair, Easy Jet, Transavia, etal. They sell low cost seats on one way flights making it easy to get around in Europe.

Aena manages all airports in Spain. See their website to find destinations and service providers.

Your plan needs to include details on how to get to either of Bayonne or Pamplona (if SJPdP is your planned starting point) and how to get home from Santiago.

There are several airlines that fly non-stop from Boston to Madrid. Current prices as low as $350 round trip.
Buen Camino,

For both my Caminos, I flew Boston> Madrid on Iberia Airlines. They fly non-stop. In general, you can often fly cheaply Boston>Paris via Icelandair and WOW airlines. Another economical airline, as already mentioned, is Aer Lingus which flies to Paris as well as Biarritz. Another possibility is Norwegian Air, which is supposed to be starting a route to Europe this spring, and, for the long (about 33 hours) but economical way, Turkish Airlines. I have flown most of these airlines from Boston, and I would be happy to talk with you as a Boston pilgrim if you want to send me a private message.

$350.00 round trip??!!
Dang that's cheap. I'd sit on a milk crate in a cargo plane for that price.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thank you so much

Ahahah, me too.
Check out hotwire.com for flights from Boston to Madrid or Dublin in September. Looks like you can get round-trips to either for around $500 bucks. That's pretty cheap.
I've used hotwire before and had good results with them.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

If you are a little bit flexible with your travel dates, that helps in finding a cheaper flight, too.
Whether you fly in to Madrid or Dublin, it's going to take pretty much all day to get to St. Jean no matter what route you take there. Just keep that in mind. If you leave the US on say a Monday, in all likelihood you won't be having boots on the dirt of the Camino until Wednesday morning.
