Another great day in the village of St Jean Pied De Port ! Little tiny drizzle off and on all day with few peeking of sun 😊I got bored so walked up towards Orisson to work my hiking legs . Only went 1/2 way just to see and feel the beginning of the trail which is mostly on the streets through farm land residential . Still quaint . I saw some Pelegrínos getting a late start 3:30 pm . I’m getting early start 6 am 🤭🥾🥾🥾 took a few more photos !

Will you be walking all the way to Roncesvalles tomorrow?

If you will be staying at Orisson or Borda I wouldn't leave before 10 am. While it's lovely up there, there's not a lot to do before dinner. May as well get some extra sleep and a relaxed breakfast.

However, if you are walking to Roncesvalles 6 am is probably fine, but I would wait until sunrise to start.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
