I will be walking the Portuguese Coastal Camino in May from Porto. Will I need short gaiters for walking in the sand? From what I have read, it looks like I will be mostly on boardwalks and trails away from the beach.Thank you for any suggestions.

I always wear sock liners to prevent blisters from sand in my socks. Just a little sand can cause blisters, especially "sugar sand" like we have in Florida. I also find sock liners wick off moisture on wet hikes. I swear by them! (I also use gaiters, just to keep my socks clean.)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I brought gaiters last year when I did that route, never had to use them. The sand is now covered with very nice boardwalks but they get slippery when wet so be careful.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
