Geneva to Le Puy-en-Velay

I will start in Geneva next week, walking at least to LePuy and perhaps further along the chemin. In previous camino walks I have always gotten along with just a silk sleeping liner, instead of a sleeping bag. I tend to find the simpler less expensive places to sleep. Will a liner suffice for this walk? I plan to stay at accueil jacquaire as much as possible.
