I will be walking my first Camino in August/September 2018
Hello. I will be walking my first Camino in August/September 2018. I will be coming from Slovenia and would like to know if any of you have come from that direction and have any tips or advice for travel from there. It doesn't seem to be a direct route and I'm not sure I'm finding the best ways to travel from Slovenia to St. Jean. Thank you!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi,
Last Year, I took a Plane to Paris from Canada. Then 2 days after I took a Train from Montparnasse train station in Paris ( I buy my ticket online) to Bayonne, then I took a train to Saint-Jean-Pied-du-Port.
I planned some time between each transport for myself and the transport delay.

Something I read this forum:
From Paris I know there is an another option: A Plane to Biarritz. From Biarritz you can go to Bayonne by bus. Or you can take and share (look for others prilgrims and ask them) a taxi to Saint-Jean (it's take more than one hour less than two) or use the service Express Bourricot (you must make a reservation for this one).

Flying from Paris to Biarritz Airport is the quickest method. Then to get to St Jean from Biarritz:

1. https://www.expressbourricot.com/contact-and-booking/ The fee is split between passengers, so a full shuttle runs about 20 Euro per person. It is reservation only, is quite popular, and you need to make a reservation ASAP if you want to be assured a seat.

2. Taxi. Again, the cost is per taxi. so, the more that share, the cheaper it is.

3. Walk to the main airport entrance and look for fellow pilgrims -- packs, shells, patches, anxious expressions :). Ask if anyone would like to share a taxi, or if anyone has space to share a ride. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting a few takers. :)
