The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi @JP
You’ve created some beautiful memories to hold onto.(43 minutes ) I had to skip thru a lot as I was heading to an appointment.... but well done.
I watched quite a bit of your slide show and had a nice sampling of your camino through your nice photos. Thanks for sharing your personal journey on the forum.
Thank you, brought back great memories. However I must walk with my eyes shut as there were lots of things that I didn't see. I hope to walk it again in 2022 but I'll take more time - same number of days but just slow down and take in more of the scenery.
I echo Harland2019! Great memories for sure, yet I too passed many things that likely others noticed and I did not! Guess in the end we all come away with different emotions and perspectives, presumably viewing the experience as a very defining and insightful experience...at least for me.
Wishing you all continued strength and good health during this pandemic. May this time of social distancing and isolation allow time for future Camino dreaming and planning. As Thanksgiving approaches I give thanks to all of you and Ivar for the gifts shared on this forum.
Feeling a little alone at CF. Where is it most likely that I won't be the only one in the albergue, Villar de Masarif, Villavante, Hospital de Orbigo or Astorga (which is probably too long for me...
I’m planning another Camino Frances, but this time can only do part of it. I’ll be walking from Pamplona for around 2 weeks; I like to walk around 22km a day, depending on the heat (I’m going...

We had just walked across the Pyrenees from St Jean Pied de Port, France. Our plan was to walk 800km along the Camino de Santiago. As it would...
I’m planning my fourth Frances for September/October of 2025. I’m bringing two friends from England, and they would prefer walking late September and finishing in late October.
I’ve started in...
I’m looking for suggestions for a 6/7 day walking stage on the Frances that I can do next year with my older less fit companion.
We’ve done the stages from Sarria, Ferrol & Tui in recent years.
