Great Pleasure ( Once Again)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Will be walking through soon and look forward to crossing paths. What a generous and selfless thing you do. Thank you.

As some of you know I live in Bilbo and the Camino passes a couple of minutes from my home.

I have recently had the pleasure of meeting a couple of forum members ( Shefollowsshells and jpflavin1)
and have walked part of the Camino with then.

Today, I met another forum member ( Johns). I met him at the airport at 10:15 am, took him to his albergue which is right near the cathedral ( Ganbara . It´s on Calle Prim 13) . Then we walked along the river so he can see
the way to follow along the river tomorrow on his way to Pobeña, where he will stop for the day.

We also stopped off at the tourist office where he got a booklet ith the Caminos del Norte which also included the Camino Primitivo.

The we return to the old part of town where I introduced him to "txacoli" ( a local white wine) and "pintxos".
We "visited" a few bars and a few txacolis and a few pintxos. Then at about 3 pm we sadly parted.

My offer to meet any forum member who passes thru Bilbo and if possible even walk part of Camino ( previous stage or a stage after ) is still standing. I only ask that whoever wants please let me know with plenty
of time. I can walk at weekends and meet in the evening during the week. If anyone accepts my offer it would be a pleasure.

Ondo Ibili !

Mendi:

It was a pleasure to walk with you. In regards to Txacoli, it is a very nice white wine. I have yet to find it here in the states.

Ultreya,
Joe
