My name is Ricardo. I first had plans in 2020 to walk the entire Camino Frances but it fell through after I found a great deal to visit Israel and Jordan. I made it back a week before the Covid shutdowns. I'm now planning the trip again, this time I'm walking it for my 17 year old daughter who was killed in a car accident in March of 2022.

Hey Ricardo. We walked our Portugués camino last spring for my father-in-law who had passed away just the year before. We found that walking for him was very much a healing process for both my wife and me. When we arrived at the Pilgrim’s Office in Santiago, they added my wife’s father’s name to our Compostelas in vicarie pro or simply, “in the name of.” Although we have other Compostelas, this is by far the most meaningful one to us.
