Pensión As Viñas has re-opened in Pobra de Brollón

We’re scoping out accommodation on the Invierno, and @C clearly noticed that Pensión As Viñas is on booking. There is an annotation “new to booking.” Many of us stayed there before the albergue opened, but I know for sure that the pensión closed years ago. It sounds like it might have re-opened, though unfortunately it will be minus @KinkyOne’s beer-drinking partner, because he retired when the pensión closed.

Any updates?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I changed the title to reflect the fact that the pensión As Viñas has in fact reopened. We are staying there tonight. The children of the owners (who retired and closed it) just re-opened it a few weeks ago. They are also managing the new albergue, and I think it’s great to have both options.

You can book the pensión via booking or directly via WhatsApp at +34 609 41 09 41. Single room €30 double €50. Sandra is the person in charge.

(And though booking says it’s 2.2 kms from town, that’s totally wrong. It’s on the same road as the albergue, and is in fact .5 km closer to town than the albergue!)

This is great news! Just like @KinkyOne I spent quite a few afternoons with the owner and his son in the garden by the side of the pensión, and I can assure you that there was plenty of beer and aguardiente!

I will be back on the Invierno in a few weeks' time, carrying on from where I left off a month or so ago in Quiroga, so Pensión As Viñas is going to see me again!
