Hello, Frank, from Australia, Camino France 2011 26 May.

Addicted pilgrim
Time of past OR future Camino
Completed Caminos: 2009 SJPP, 2011 Roncessvalle , 2012 Pamploma, 2013 Roncessvalle, 2013 Porto, 2014 Burgos, 2014 Porto

Future: Roncessvalle
I will be flying into Barcelona on 25 may 2011, for my 2nd camino, the first was in july 2009.

I am hoping the weather is similar to July as I will not be taking my unused sleeping that I purchased for the 2009 trek, however, I will take the trusty silk liner and an space blanket bag just in case (only weighs 120 gm). My poncho only saw rain for 1 day in 2009, however, it will return for this journey, I am expecting a little more rain this year?

for this Journey I have time on my side, there is no need to rush to cover kms each day, I plan to savour and enjoy all the Camino has to offer at my pace?

I am looking forward to meeting many of you along the way, maybe even do some volunteering at a refugio?

Regards

Frank

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Thanks John,

I have purchased a forum badge for my pack, I will be watching out for others with the badge. I am looking forward to the journey , I don't know why I am doing it again, all I know is something is calling me back :) maybe I will know the answer after I return.

Recently I joined couchsurfing an international web based facility where travelers can find private homes to stay, I have two ladies from Spain about 30km from Santiago arriving tomorrow for two nihhts, hopefully we can have some lengthy chats over dinner and i can get some local insight to prepare me for my camino,

on my arrival to Barcelona I hope to use CS to find a home to stay for 1-2 nights whilst I arrange phone cards etc.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Hola
Having time is worth so much; yes, savour it!

Buen camino

Hi FFP13, good for you regarding the Couchsurfing. It is an amazing idea and your post is very encouraging. I think I will sign up too. Living in rural Canada makes it difficult to think that anyone would want to stay here when passing through but you never know. If you are ever passing through, you are always welcome.
