Hello

I'm considering doing the journey in 2014, like many people I'm sure, for lots of different reasons. Some of them are:

To commemorate my wonderful father who died at this time of the calendar last year
To improve my outlook on life
I love to cycle but I'm not sure if this is a possibility
To, hopefully, meet like minded people
Because I watched "The Way" film

Anyway here I am and hope to be inspired.

Happy Christmas.

All good reasons. Welcome to the Forum. If we can be part of your inspiration, we will be. Ask questions that may be on your mind.

Buen camino.

Hello Falcon

I'm just working my way through the forum, thanks. I've donated so no ads on website but do you know how to make them disappear on the App?

Thanks

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi Polite,

I walked it finishing Nov 8th. so it's all pretty fresh. I can't directly comment on the bike experience but the cyclists were some of the nicest people I met.

From my walking perspective (take it for what it's worth in that regard), the up hills seemed brutal and the downhills treacherous for the casual cyclist. Some of them seemed pretty miserable at times but the more hardcore mountain bikers seemed to have a blast Also securing the bike is a task walkers don't have to worry about.

Merry Christmas!

Cheers Sraeen

I've done quite a bit of cycling so used to hills but I'm torn between doing it this way versus walking. How long did it take you to walk the distance?

I took a pretty average pace. 33 days with one full day off.
