Asking for some help to identify a monument between beside the road from Agés to Atapuerca at the intersection of the road most pilgrims walk (BU-V-7012) and Camino de Fresno de Rodilla.

I've done a google search to no avail (most likely because of my limited search terms). Posted below are a photo and a screenshot of the location. I appreciate any help.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Goggle with this search term, quotation marks included: "levantamiento de menhir a modo prehistórico".

The site is the result of an event organised every few years by the people of Atapuerca: they put up a menhir in the old-fashioned way, i.e. without the help of a crane. The first menhir was erected in 1998.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

These are called Menhirs. It is thought that they originate in Celtic times when the Celts invaded and colonized France Spain and norther n Portugal. Their raison d’être is still shrouded in mystery. Some surmise or was to commentate the death of a great soldier others invoke guiding of troops to certain areas. Worth checking out

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
In 2019 I stopped and took photos of those monuments. Attached is the photo I kept, plus a screenshot of the inscription.
Hope this helps.

"To the people who during these 20 years have collaborated in the representation of the battle of Atapuerca and to the friends of Atapuerca Association that every year remembers with great effort and dedication to this historical event.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
One of the Atapuerca menhirs is dedicated to the work of a speleological group based in Burgos. Photos of the group and of the text on the plaque of their menhir is here.

Of course, in a story one could turn this site into the genuine site of a megalithic culture or one could dedicate one of the menhirs to a protagonist of the story ... ☺️
