Here now - need boots stretched

I've made a silly rookies mistake and forgot to ask for newspaper to stuff into my very wet leather hiking boots, and consequently they have shrunk and ate causing me grief.

Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to get them stretched? Somewhere from Najera onwards.

Probably better to just buy some light weight hiking shoes which are more than adequate for the caminos.

Wet them down again and wear until dry, or first chance you get replace them with non-leather, or less leather types and toss those in a bin.

Shoemakers abound in the cities. You may have to wait. Najera probably has one. Ask the hospitalero.

Leather, once wet and then shrinks, is difficult to stretch back to the previous dimension. RJMs advice has probably the best chance of succeeding.
