I
Gerard, here is wishing, hoping, and praying for a successful (or at least tolerable) solution to your pain issues. I am very interested in the outcome of your consult, and the progress you make with the treatment choices provided.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the kind wishes mate.
Here in Oz the Govt Health authorities only authorise senior health professionals, who are scientifically trained to their standards, to offer CBD Oil as a medication.
This has increased my hope as to its effectiveness.
My previous experience was with a friend who suggested I put two drops from a mail order supplied bottle under the tongue morning and night.
This person exhibited in my eyes a somewhat "Hippy" approach, in ensuring me it would alleviate most, if not all conditions, running the gamut from 'painful soles', to 'moles' and random 'sore holes'.
My queries as to the ingredients of this small, dropper topped bottle, elicited replies of, "Definitely no drugs, no chemicals, only good, healthy, natural ingredients!"
Yeah right.
Whatever, constant encouragement ensured I finally agreed to partake in a trial of my own construction. I firstly ceased using all pain alleviating drugs for a week, until I could hardly walk, then commenced the trial.
I can state without a doubt that pain level decreased significantly over the next few days and remained at that level while I continued the "treatment".
However my normal medication in Oz is generously subsidised.
CBD oil is not subsidised and would then have cost 6 times my then current medications, which worked well.
So from a cost point of view it was a no go.
It may now be a viable alternative due to arthritis rendering current meds ineffective. And cost is not a big issue if it ensures quality of life.
Hope all is going well in your heath struggles.
I'll keep you informed of developments.
Regards
Gerard
