Hospital de Órbigo is a lovely town, several nice albergues, the decorations in the German/parish albergue are very pleasant. I have hit a wedding there and a confirmation ceremony with all the sailor lads and young brides also very pleasant. The bridge leading in is also an intriquing sight:
with its unevenly spaced/sized arches. Unique. Ah, no. Reading about Saint Columbanus (don't ask) and his monastery in Bobbio, Italy approached by:
. 1500 and some odd kilometers apart and remarkably similiar, down to the bell towers seen on the transverse side of the bridge in both places. Funny world those early Christians.
