How to transport backpacks

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I agree that Correos offer an excellent service. I have used them several times and they are very reliable and helpful.

I sent my small suitcase from Irun to Santiago - I received notification the very next day that it had been delivered! I also used them part way through my Camino to send some items that I didn't need to Santiago.

And backpack transfer

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

Generally, on the few occasions when I use the the courier system, it works well, though I have carried my pack when in doubt about getting it collected. The only problem I ever had was when I did an advance online booking with Bourricot (also the most I’ve ever been charged at €8) in St Jean Pied De Port and they failed to collect. Thankfully, Joe from Gite Bidean (excellent hotel) drove up the mountain, caught me up and took it to Refuge Orisson.

I have used Camino Facil to transport my pack and have never once had a problem. They are also very reliable.

I love the computerized system that Correos has which,in the past, has NOT charged, if you change your destination online after starting your trip.
CaminoFacil, once you start the trip charges a fee for each itinerary change! At least they have in the past. Most of us make changes! Therefore consider that when booking ahead.

I looked up the site Elcaminoconcorreos.com/paqmochila. You can only indicate the location of pick-up, but no details of destination, how do they deliver to albergue, hostal, etc? Also, my fictive entry, from Burguete to Zubiri gave me 7€, which's more than Jacotrans.....

They don’t do San Salvador and I don’t think anyone does. But I’ll see what i can cook up when i get toLeon. Don’t think i can carry a backpack after back surgery

Join the Camino cleanup. Logroño to Burgos May 2025 & Astorga to OCebreiro in June

Right.
These are the routes that Correos provides pack transfer for.
Paq Mochila is avaliable on the Frech Way from Roncesvalles, on the Portuguese Way from Tui, on the Coastal Portuguese Way from A Guarda, on the Primitive Way from Oviedo, on the Northern Way from Irún, on the English Way from Ferrol, on the Sanabria Way from Ourense and on the Way to Fisterra and Muxía. * Paq Mochila is also available on the French Way from Somport and on the Winter Way on request at paqmochila@correos.com.

There may be a taxi service that wl transport on the Salvador. If anyone knows about it, it would be @peregrina2000

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I would gently encourage those who are able to carry their own stuff.
I sincerely hope that you'll be able to follow your gentle "encouragement" in 20 Years, when you have reached my age.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Everyone need to so the Camino their own way. It's about the journey, not the miles or how many kilos you carry. Shouldn't make people feel inferior if they need a transport. There are all sorts of injured, disabled or elderly who need options. This is intended for anyone, no judging!!🙏😍

I sincerely meant to encourage those "who are able". I meant no judgement, it's more about how much can be learned by carrying stuff.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
