El Correo Gallego and other websites are reporting that from today there will be access to hug the large statue of the Apostle above the high altar of the cathedral in Santiago. During normal opening hours of the cathedral except when the altar is in use during services.

If I recall correctly, the hugging used to continue during the services but it makes perfect sense to me to suspend it during the service.
