Oh, yes; Camino planning for July/August is ongoing now. Thank you, amiga. That is great news Alex; you are almost fully on your way! Carpe diem.
Oh, yes; Camino planning for July/August is ongoing now.
There is only one small hill to climb first: We need all EU countries to be synchronized, with a common certificate platform. That should happen around July 1st. Then I'm off the ground.
Will walk in July and August. I shall never again complain about the Spanish heat of summer: These days, I actually miss it!
Yes, both Spain Camino July/August and Greece (real name: Hellas) Sept./Oct. are within reach now. Thank you so much!Ok I will watch when those heat waves are reported in the Summer while you are walking Alex!
I am glad for you…it has been a long wait…hope you get to Greece and celebrate with your friends!
Alexwalker, you have to move further north, we had +29C some days ago.Yes, both Spain Camino July/August and Greece (real name: Hellas) Sept./Oct. are within reach now. Thank you so much!
I have to add: Having had 2 shots of Pfizer (both of us) we feel very relaxed, and ready to start living again. Corona Certificates etc. seem now just a formal bump.
Edit: I promise not to complain about heat wawes in Spain this summer! I promise! I'll compensate with cold beer. Currently 6C up here in the Arctic, and the "warm" weather is supposed to continue, with some rain in between...
Hate youAlexwalker, you have to move further north, we had +29C some days ago.
I printed out my certificate today as well.
I am not there and can not get there from the US but my friends tell me the restrictions on outside cafe/bar activities have been lifted and the place is swarming with tourists. I haven't asked where the tourists are from but I suspect they are mostly French. I am trying to sell my apartment and the agent is very positive about my prospects this summer.Don any news on biarritz opening and restriction.
Good for you. I will just wait and see what we Americans will have to do come October. As I said today's rules and requirements will probably be tomorrow's yesterday's news.It is, for now, valid for border crossing within EU/Schengen. In the beginning of July, it will be adjusted to conform with coming common EU directions.

I am in the UK and after getting my second jab I downloaded the app. The NHS system was being overloaded and I wanted to make sure I had it just in case we are required to have it so downloaded it in the early hours. (Sad I know, but I am an ex shift worker so often did things in the middle of the night). So all my records are up to date and I have the QR code. It expires on the 21/06/2021. Second jab on the 19th May so I have no idea if its valid thereafter. I assume not, but a month seems pretty pointless. Anyone else from UK with same?I got my QR code when I got my first shot about a week ago. Things are coming together.
Actually, as for now, they seem to increase the validity 1 day at a time, keeping it constantly at 3 months. So it seems that your vaccine is valid for at least 3 months running, and extending day by day.@alexwalker , I wonder if they limit the passports to 3 months due to the fact the longer term effectiveness of the vaccine is still unknown. From what I’ve read studies have shown up to 6 months protection, but they only have 6 months worth of data to use since it’s a new vaccine. So each day provides a new data point for the study. I suspect that as more data is gathered the link of effective will continue to increase. Just my thoughts. Now planning an October Camino. Happy times.
I am also UK and have the NHS ap - but it doesn't give me a QR code? I can just check/view my vaccine record - can I ask where on the ap you found your QR code?I am in the UK and after getting my second jab I downloaded the app. The NHS system was being overloaded and I wanted to make sure I had it just in case we are required to have it so downloaded it in the early hours. Oh - update - found it! Thanks for flagging up as I had no idea it was on there! NB: it says it automatically updates every 28 days, so doesn't expire.I am also UK and have the NHS ap - but it doesn't give me a QR code? I hope that all wll be safe and clear next year for Olavs leden! For the time being, many countries, including my own Norway, have idiotic restraints on travel, especially for fully vaccinated people.
As far as I know, it is open as we speak. But to go to Norway, you must wait at least until a unified EU has set the entry rules for their countries.I hope that all wll be safe and clear next year for Olavs leden!
Thank you. When I first downloaded it, it did not say auto refresh. I suspect they had a lot of questions and have updated that since.Oh - update - found it! Thanks for flagging up as I had no idea it was on there! NB: it says it automatically updates every 28 days, so doesn't expire.
Agreed, the auto refresh info appears to be a new addition. The app evolves!Thank you. When I first downloaded it, it did not say auto refresh. I suspect they had a lot of questions and have updated that since.

Do you mean this Reuters news: Ambassadors from the EU's 27 countries approved the addition of the United States and five other countries at a meeting on Wednesday, with the change to take effect in the coming days. Albania, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Serbia and Taiwan will be added.E. U. Just announced it will allow non-essential travel from US.
No, I have printed it on paper, as a backup.Once you get you QR screen, do you take a photo copy of it? Thank you
Just to avoid confusion:Once you get you QR screen, do you take a photo copy of it? Thank you
Thank you for your clarificationJust to avoid confusion:
In this thread, we talk about the QR code of the EU Digital Covid vaccination certificate. This is for people who live in the EU and got vaccinated there.
This is not the QR code that everyone needs to have when travelling to Spain from the USA. This is the SpTH QR code.
Two different things.
Kathar1A does have to be done with in 48hours before getting in the plain, or arriving to Spain? ; second, do I have to have the result of my rapid test before I feel out the health Spanish form? ( I’m flying to Pamplona on the 21 of June) I was told that since we stop by Madrid in our way to Pamplona they need the PR test with in 72 hours of arrival or is it with in 72 h before boarding. Thank youNo, I have printed it on paper, as a backup.
The rules are changing as we speak. New rules for the EU are expected on June 26. Click on the link for present rules:Thank you for your clarification

I just checked mine after seeing your post. Under the code it says2D barcode expiration date16 july2021I am in the UK and after getting my second jab I downloaded the app. The NHS system was being overloaded and I wanted to make sure I had it just in case we are required to have it so downloaded it in the early hours. You just said with vaccination from US, one does not need a negative test as well??You fly on 21 June from the east coast of the USA to Pamplona and you are vaccinated.
You don't need a PCR test and you don't need a rapid antigen test. You need to have your vaccination card with you.
You can start filling in the SpTH form right now. You can complete the form, sign it and obtain the SpTH QR code as of 48 hours before your arrival in Madrid. Take the arrival time in Madrid, convert it to the time it is where you live, count back 48 hours or 2 days. Example: If you arrive in the early morning at Madrid on June 22, you can obtain your QR code as early as your morning of June 20. If you are very keen, you could get up in the middle of the night from June 19 to June 20 but I would wait until it's my usual getting up time.
Best of luck and Buen Camino!
Correct. When you are vaccinated in the US and travel from the US to Spain, there is no need to do a test and no need to have a negative test result. You just said with vaccination from US, one does not need a negative test as well??
Just to clarify....?

There we are: I am merely a person on the internet and you will have to go by what the ground staff at the gate decides on boarding day.how do we tell Iberia to give us that info; the last time they told I was not an essential and I will not be allowed to come in to Spain Help
Thank you for your through explanation Kathar 1aYou just said with vaccination from US, one does not need a negative test as well??

If you live in the USA, plan to travel from the USA to Spain, have completed a vaccination program in the USA with the last jab several weeks ago, and are faced with conflicting information, I‘d recommend @Iberia_en on Twitter. They‘ve been consistent with their information since about late on June 6; occasionally, they provide an international phone number to contact the Iberia helpline in Spain.
Best of luck, bon voyage & buen Camino.
