Heartwarming, heart string puller, a few tears, inspirational trailer about
Antonio who is 13 and suffers from cerebral palsy and Gerardo 34 who is deaf and blind are taken on a journey on the Camino Frances, inspite of their disabilities, allowing them to feel more intensely the world around them.

Together they did the French route this summer, a total of 800 km, 15 days full of intense pedaling from Roncesvalles until their arrival in Santiago.

The wonderful people who took them on this journey are Javier Luque, Antonio's father who pedaled the adapted bicycle and Javier Pitillas, friend and coach of Gerardo who shared a tandem with him.

Watch - be inspired - and don't be afraid to do your own Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
This is a very nice trailer! Inspirational. Thanks for sharing.

I have a severely disabled son and thought long and hard about trying to bring him on the Camino with me. I ended up giving up on the idea feeling it would be impossible.

God Bless those two young men and the men that took them on the Camino. What a wonderful gift they were given.

Thanks for sharing...

My younger son Mark is in a wheelchair and the Camino is on his bucket list. When I told my family that I was thinking of offering to help a group of people with disabilities do a Slow walk the last 100km of the Camino, Mark was all enthusiatic about it. But I had to tell him that I couldn't take pilgrims in wheelchairs this time.
People in wheelchairs are generally fast, not slow! So, a Camino for people in wheelchairs is now on my bucket list but I know that it will entail a whole different support system with camper vans, motor vehicles in front and behind the 'riders'.
How about it Rodeojones? Up for the challenge?
