Most interesting for me since I am also planning on 2013...also freshly retired at that time as well! My plan is to walk from Le Puy to Santiago (perhaps Finisterre) from Aug to end of Oct. A lot of fun simply letting the idea sink in and reading what others have to offer.
An unknown for me is whether I will complete the Camino with (baggage transfer or accomodation support or both) or without (referred to as "true" pilgramage in the forum) support. I know the answer will come to me in time as to what's right.
Perhaps our paths will cross in 2013...watch for the goofy looking guy with a faded Nike baseball hat, a Canadian flag on his backpack and the widest grin possible.
