Hi, My name is Tammi,

I am 45 years old and am planning to walk the Camino Frances in 2014 (dates are flexible). (I would love to do it in 2013, but I am pretty confident that my employer won't let me take 2 months off next year and I have already committed to making my 2nd visit to Uganda). I am hoping to connect up with a few others who will be walking the Camino Fraces during the same time frame. Otherwise, I am planning to embark solo and hopefully connect with others along with way.

I had heard a reference to the Camino de Santiago from a friend in a social justice study group at church a couple of years ago and never gave it a second thought. I heard it mentioned recently on Busted Halo and it has since come up in several other grand decided to look into it. The more I investigate, the more I am drawn to it. The Camino seems to combine several things that are becoming increasingly important to me: simplification, spiritual growth, personal growth, travel, adventure, hiking/backpacking, traveling, and meeting diverse people, all rolled into something tangible.

Blessings on the Journey ~ Tammi

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

From your description of yourself, I think you will find the Camion a very rewarding experience. I just got back from 6 weeks on the Camino and already planning for my next Camino expeience.
